ELLISVILLE - The Co-Lin Wolves won their second straight game taking a 82-75 win over the Jones County Bobcats. The Wolves improve to 7-9 overall, 2-4 in the South Division. The Bobcats fall to 7-10 overall and 1-5 in the division, while Co-Lin is now 7-9 overall, 2-4 in the division. The Bobcats took a 17-9 with 12:10 left in the first half. But the Wolves would rally taking the lead for good with 7:24 to play on a Chris Miller bucket. Co-Lin would lead 42-34 at halftime.
The Wolves led by as many as 16 points, 66-50, with 8:14 left in the game. The Wolves led 75-61 with 2:05 remaining after Jake Reed hit two free throws and Co-Lin looked like they had the game in hand.
But the Bobcats would make a 12-4 run and cut the lead to 79-73 with 30.3 seconds left to play. But the Wolves would hold off the Bobcats and that's as close as they would get.
Co-Lin shot 70 percent from the free throw line (19-of 27) while the Bobcats shot 40 percent going 8-of-20 from the charity line.
Jake Reed scored a game-high 17 points to lead the Wolves. Freshman Jay Case added 16 points followed by Anthony Davis with 13 points. Mike Buffalo came off the bench to chip in 12 points. Fred Fairman led Co-Lin with 7 rebounds. Davis dished out 7 assists and made 3 steals.
J.J. Bolton led Jones with 14 points. Courtney Mack added 13 followed by Donta Pittman with 12.
