POPLARVILLE - The Pearl River Wildcats shot a blistering 72 percent from the field as they ended Co-Lin's three game winning streak 82-73 in South Division action. The Wolfpack fall to 8-10 overall, 3-5 in the division. Co-Lin travels to Utica on Thursday to play the Hinds Bulldogs. Listen live at www.colinathletics.com or WMJU 104.3 FM in Brookhaven.
Pearl River out-rebounded Co-Lin 32-18 and out scored them in the paint 40-24.
Freshman guard Jay Case's 20 points, including 3 treys, led the Wolfpack. Anthony Davis followed with 17 points and 5 steals followed by Jake Reed with 14 points. Joseph Cunningham came off the bench to chip in 11 points, 3 steals and led off the boards with 5 rebounds.
Zane Knowles with a game-high 23 points. Knowles shot a perfect 100 percent from the field (10-for-10) to lead the Wildcats. Yondarius Johnson and Josh Carpenter had 17 and 14 points apiece. Quentin Watkins added 10 points. Johnson led Pearl River in rebounding with 7 boards.
