WESSON - The first place Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs went on a 13-4 run with 4:15 remaining to take a 73-64 South Division win over the Wolfpack. Co-Lin falls to 8-12 overall, 3-7 in the South Division. The Wolfpack will travel to Coahoma on Thursday for a non-division contest beginning at 8 p.m. No broadcast will be available.
The Wolfpack battled hard in the first half as they went into the locker room tied at 36-all at halftime.
The Bulldogs shot 64 percent in the second half as Co-Lin's shooting went cold in second half. Gulf Coast shot 59 percent for the game while the Wolfpack shot 38 percent. The Bulldogs out-rebounded Co-Lin 34-30 and their bench out-scored the Wolfpack 31-21.
Freshman Jay Case scored a game-high 19 points. Fred Fairman added 14 points and pulled down 6 rebounds.
Leading Gulf Coast with 14 points was Darius Forrest. Justin Childs and Bryan Williams had 11 points apiece. Guy Payne came off the bench to chip in 10 points.
