SENATOBIA - The home-standing Northwest Lady Rangers defeated the Lady Wolves 4-1 in soccer recent soccer action. Co-Lin will begin South Division play on Friday when they travel to Poplarville to take on the Pearl River Lady Wildcats. Game time is 1 p.m.
The Lady Rangers scored two first half goals. Sarah Bishop scored the first at the 34:16 mark in the first half. Samantha Beard had the assist. A little over two minutes later (36:51) Beard scored to put the Lady Ranger up 2-0 at halftime.
Northwest went up 3-0 as Morgan Taylor scored (61:36). The Lady Wolves got on the board on a goal by Kaitlynne Pace assisted by Emily Zumbro at the 78:50 mark.
Kelsey LeBlanc scored an unassisted goal for the Lady Rangers to give them a 4-1 win.
Goal keeper Shakendria Williams had five saves for Co-Lin.
