ELLISVILLE - The Jones County Bobcats handed the Wolfpack a 8-1 loss in tennis action today. Co-Lin will host division rival Hinds on March 22 beginning at 2 p.m.
The only Co-Lin victory came at No. 1 singles as Marko Knezevic defeated Same Thorold 6-4, 6-3.
In doubles action Jones swept all three matches. Jones' Sam Thorold and Cade Sherman edged Mario Huljev and Marko Knezevic, 8-6, in No. 1 doubles. Nick Williams and Armand Deniakos beat Matthew Hart and Jon McLeod, 8-3, in No. 2 doubles. Mitchell Smith and Casper Wansley defeated Joey Shelton and Blaine Roberts, 8-3, in No. 3 doubles.
In other singles matches, Williams defeated Huljev, 6-4, 6-2, in No. 2 singles. Sherman blanked Hart, 6-0, 6-0, in No. 3 singles. Deniakos beat McLeod, 6-2, 6-0, in No. 4 singles, Smith whipped Shelton, 6-1, 6-2, in No. 5 singles and Wansley downed Roberts, 6-1, 6-2, in No. 6 singles.
