Thomas Dyess begins his first season back as a student assistant coach with the Wolves where he will be coaching the running backs. Dyess comes to Co-Lin after spending the 2024 football season as a student assistant coach at the University of Southern Mississippi where he worked as an assistant coach with the running backs after working as a student assistant with Co-Lin for two years.

Dyess holds an associate’s degree from Co-Lin and plans to graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2026 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Strength and Conditioning. Dyess graduated from Magee High School in 2022.

Dyess is the son of two educators. His dad, Teddy Dyess, is a highly regarded Mississippi high school football coach who has won three state championships and is currently the head coach at East Rankin Academy. His mother, Chantay Dyess, is an assistant teacher for Madison County School District
