Bio

Travell Harris enters his first season as wide receivers coach at Copiah–Lincoln Community College, bringing both high-level playing experience and a proven background in elite player development, recruiting, and offensive production.

Harris most recently served as an assistant wide receivers coach at the University of Toledo from 2024–2026 under Head Coach Jason Candle. During his time with the Rockets, he helped develop one of the top receiving units in the Mid-American Conference, producing multiple All-MAC selections and contributing to one of the league’s most efficient offenses.

In 2025, Toledo led the MAC in scoring offense (30.8 points per game) and passing offense (238.1 yards per game). The Rockets also posted an 8-5 record in 2024, highlighted by a GameAbove Sports Bowl victory in a six-overtime win over Pitt. During his tenure, Harris played a key role in the development of multiple 1,000-yard receivers and all-conference performers through detailed film breakdown, game planning, and on-field skill development.

Before entering coaching, Harris was a professional wide receiver with the Cleveland Browns and in the XFL.

Harris played collegiately at Washington State University under head coaches Mike Leach and Nick Rolovich, where he was a Four-Year Letterwinner and Three-time All-Pac-12 selection in one of the nation’s most explosive passing offenses. He totaled 179 receptions for 2,000 yards and 17 touchdowns, ranking ninth in school history in receptions.

One of the most dynamic all-purpose players in program history, Harris ranks third all-time at Washington State with 4,286 all-purpose yards. He set school records with 86 career kick returns and 2,063 kick return yards, including seven returns of 40+ yards and a 100-yard kickoff return touchdown.

A native of Tampa, Florida, Harris earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in marketing from Washington State University.
