The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves picked up their first win of the 2018-2019 season, an 84-76 win over Mississippi Delta, on Monday night after two 18-point performances from Cameron Woodall and Damarius Brooks.
The Wolves dropped their season opener to Holmes, 88-75, in a contest that saw many swings in momentum. The Wolves trailed by just three at intermission, but the Bulldogs outscored the Wolves 49-39 in the second to pull away with the win.
The Copiah-Lincoln Community College men’s basketball program is coming off a year that saw the best Co-Lin record, 19 wins and 6 losses, since the Wolves’ 2007-2008 MACJC championship run that finished 20-8. Last year’s efforts landed Co-Lin a playoff spot for the first time in nine years, and with four sophomores returning, this year’s team looks to build off that success.
