MERIDIAN, Miss. – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves had a strong showing in the first tournament of the spring semester as the Wolves finished third at Northwood Country Club in Meridian on Tuesday. The top-three finish is the best of the year for the Wolves as the team heads into MACJC Event #5, which will be held at Wolf Hollow in Wesson on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7.
Lucas Brewer led the Wolves in the two-day tournament as he shot a 151, which tied him for sixth individually. Brewer shot a 71 to open the tournament, third best of opening round and followed with an 80. Co-Lin's Adam Files was just one stroke back as he shot a 73 and 79 for a two-day total of 152. Bryce Chapman and Bryson Jones both shot 154s after shooting 77, 77 and 76, 78 respectively. Cameron Little posted 77, 82 for a 159, while Garrett Herring shot back-to-back 81s for a 162. Logan Pitts closed out the Wolves with an 86, 81 for a 167.
