RAYMOND, Miss. – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College golf team posted a 317 over the weekend to finish fifth in the MACJC State Championship held at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Raymond. Round two of the tournament was cancelled due to inclement weather.
Bryson Jones, who played as an individual for Co-Lin, was the tournament medalist as he fired a four-under 68 on Saturday. Adam Files tied for 14th as he shot a 77, while Lucas Brewer finished with a 78. Logan Pitts was 25th in the tournament with an 80, while Cameron Little and Garrett Herring shot 82.
All-State awards were given out after the event for player's cumulative scores throughout the 2018-2019 season. Co-Lin's Brewer and Pitts landed Second Team All-MACJC honors for their stellar play throughout the season. Brewer averaged 76.27 throughout the year, while Pitts shot 76.82.
