Co-Lin claims second place at the MACCC Event #2

AMORY – The Co-Lin golf team claimed second place in the Mississippi Association of Community College Conference's Event #2 hosted by Itawamba Community College at River Birch Golf Club in Amory. The Wolf Pack finished with a two-day total of 590 (294-296) four strokes behind Meridian Community College 586 (295-291).

Co-Lin freshmen Navid Mousavi (second from right) and Alex Navarro (third from right) both shot 142 for the tournament and were named to the All-Tournament Team. Tanner Harrison shot 152 (76-76) followed by Ty Nelson at 154 (77-77) and Jordan Davis at 160 (80-80). Competing as an individual was Chandler Byrd with a 168 (87-81).

Joining Mousavi and Navarro on the All-Tournament Team were medalist Tate Dickerson of Northeast who shot 140 (68-72), Landry Miller 147 (70-77) and Shawn Cox 147 (71-77), both of Itawamba, Joseph Berry 144 (76-68) and Diego Leslie 147 (70-77).

Northeast finished in third place at 591 (291-300), followed by Itawamba 613 (295-318), East Central 618 (303-315), Hinds 661 (355-306), Southwest 671 (327-344), and East Mississippi 696 (348-348).

Next up for the Wolf Pack is MACCC Event #3 hosted by Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at Windance Country Club in Gulfport on October 25-26.
