Co-Lin golfers finish fourth in MACCC Event #3

GULFPORT – The Co-Lin golf team finished in fourth place in the Mississippi Community College Conference (MACCC) Event #3 hosted by Mississippi Gulf Coast. Community College at Windance Country Club. The Wolves finished with a two-day total of 621.

"Our scores improved today, just two strokes out of third place," said head coach Allen Kent. "Tanner shot today's low round with a 75. Navid led us with his two-day total of 153. Jordan made a triple on the first hole and shot two over the rest of the way. Navid is nursing a dislocated finger. We are looking forward to improving before the season resumes in the spring."

Mississippi Gulf Coast won the tournament with a 584 followed by Meridian at 591, Northeast Mississippi 619, Co-Lin at 621, East Central at 653, Itawamba at 643, Rend Lake College at 644, Southwest at 684, Hinds at 701, and East Mississippi at 709.  

Individually for the Wolf Pack, Navid Mousavi (Castellon, Spain) finished tied for eighth place at 153 (77-76). Sophomore Jordan Davis (Jackson) finished at 155, Alex Navarro (Valencia, Spain) at 156, Tanner Harrison (Brandon) 159, Ty Nelson (Monticello) 166, and Chandler Byrd (Wesson) 169.

This tournament completes the fall schedule. The Wolf Pack will resume play on February 21-22 at the MACCC Event #4 hosted by Southwest Mississippi Community College at Quail Hollow Golf Club.
