Wolves capture fourth at Southwest Invitational

McCOMB, Mississippi - The Co-Lin Wolves shot a 301 in the final round for a two-day total of 620 (319-301) in the Southwest Spring Invitational to capture fourth place. Meridian jumped from third place to take the team title shooting a final round of a 287 for a two-day total of 588 (301-287) finishing one stroke ahead of second place Mississippi Gulf Coast at 589 (299-290). First round leader Northeast Mississippi finished in third place 603 (296-307) followed by Co-Lin, Pearl River (320-330) and Itawamba (322-328) tied at 650 Itawamba , East Central 665 (339-326), Southwest 678 (342-336), and East Mississippi 707 (356-351). 

Individually for the Wolves, freshman Navid Mousavi shot a 1-under 71 to finish at 146 (71-71) tied for fifth place. Freshman Alex Navarro shot a 3-over 75 to finish at 149 (74-75) tied for ninth. Both were named to the All-Tournament Team. Tanner Harrison, a freshman from Brandon, finished at 162 (85-77) followed by sophomore Ty Nelson at 173 (89-84). 

Tate Dickerson of Northeast Mississippi took medalist honors at 143 (70-73) 1-stroke better than Matt Wilkinson of Gulf Coast 144 (71=73). Joseph Berry (76-69) and Noah Bumgarner (71-74), both of Meridian, finished at 145. Reeves Johnson of Gulf Coast (75-71) tied with Mousavi at 146.
