Wolves Drop Match Against Bulldogs

PERKINSTON – The Co-Lin Men's Soccer team took to the road to face off against Gulf Coast on Tuesday, October 19. The Bulldogs beat the Wolves by a final of 3-1.

The Bulldogs got on the board first scoring a goal in the 11th minute and then increased their lead to 2-0 with a successful penalty kick in the 40th minute. The Bulldogs maintained that lead through halftime.

The Wolves goal came in the 48th minute as sophomore forward Eli Fratesi (Leland) beat the Bulldogs keeper and cut the lead down to 2-1. However, the Bulldogs added their final goal in the 82nd minute and stalled out the Wolves attack to seal the 3-1 victory.

Sophomore goalkeeper Ben Parkinson (Bury, England) made four saves on seven shots on goal.

The Wolves are now 5-7-1 overall and 1-6-1 in South Division play and will return to action with a road match against Pearl River. The action on the pitch will kickoff at 7 p.m.
