Wolves Play to A Tie With Indians

FULTON – The Co-Lin Men's Soccer team hit the road to face off against Itawamba on Friday, September 26. The Wolves and Indians ended the match in a 1-1 tie.

The first half saw the teams have multiple scoring chances, but neither team found the back of the net as the first half was scoreless. The second half saw the Indians take the lead with a goal on a penalty kick making the score, 1-0. However, the Wolves found an equalizer as Caden Walley (Madison) scored his first goal of the season with an assist from Ethan Sharpe (Bradford, England) to tie the game in the 78th minute.

Both teams then looked to find a winning goal in the final minutes of the match but neither team could push one past the opposing keeper as the match ended in a 1-1 tie.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jaime Duran (Madison) saved ten of 11 shots faced throughout the match.

Co-Lin is now 3-2-2 overall, 1-1-2 in MACCC play and will return to action hosting Meridian on Friday, October 3. Kickoff between the Wolves and the Eagles is set for 3 p.m., at Stone Stadium in Wesson.
