Co-Lin plays well in ITA Oracle Cup

ROME, Ga. – After first place finishes in the ITA Regionals Copiah-Lincoln Community College's Sebastian Osorio and Juan Pinilla traveled to Rome, Ga. for the ITA Oracle Cup, a national community and junior college tournament. Osorio qualified for the singles play, and Pinilla joined him for doubles play.

Osorio entered the singles draw unseeded and faced Tyler Junior College's Jorge Martinez, the No. 2 seed, to start the tournament. Osorio fell in the opening round 6-2, 6-2. In the second round, Osorio faced Duro Opacic of Seward Community College and lost 6-2, 6-2. Co-Lin's sophomore rounded out the tournament against Miachael Vizcarra of American River Community College. Osorio picked up a 6-4, 6-3 victory to secure a seventh place finish in the tournament.

In doubles play Pinilla and Osorio the No. 2 seed Tyler Junior College in the opening round. The duo lost 6-2, 6-3. In the second round, the Wolves faced yet another seeded opponent, No. 3 Seminole State College. Osorio and Pinilla defeated the Trojans 7-6, 6-3 and advanced to the third round. In the final round of play the pair faced the No. 4 seed ASA Miami Silver Storm. Osorio and Pinilla won a marathon match 6-4, 5-7, 10-4 to claim fifth place.
