Lady Wolves Trio Nab NFCA Postseason Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) recently announced the NJCAA DII All-American honorees. There were 36 student-athletes chosen for the two teams and the Lady Wolves had three players selected for the 2026 season. Brelie Phillips (Conehatta) was selected as a First Team All-American while Addison Lindley (Madison) and Ayari VanBlaircom (Daphne, AL) took home Second Team All-American honors.

Brelie Phillips had a superb sophomore season as she led the Wolves in nearly every offensive category including batting average at .462, on-base percentage at .547, and slugging percentage at 1.017 with her average and on-base percentage both leading the MACCC while the slugging percentage was second. Her 80 hits, 70 runs scored, 23 home runs, 21 doubles, and 69 RBIs led the team in those marks while her three triples were tied for second-most while her 173 at-bats and 34 walks drawn were second-most on the team. The RBIs were second-most in the MACCC while her home runs and walks were third most with her doubles mark tied for highest in the MACCC. Phillips also posted a .931 fielding percentage with 65 putouts and 84 assists in 160 chances while being part of ten double plays throughout the season. Her 23 home runs are also the second-most in a single season in Lady Wolves softball program history.

Addison Lindley had a season for the record books as she went 25-4 with three saves. The 25 wins tied the single season record while that mark was also the most in the MACCC this season and she was tied for most saves in the conference as well. She also set the single season appearances record with 35 and pitched 159 innings while posting a 2.47 ERA along with 115 strikeouts with a 1.16 WHIP. Lindley also posted a .348 batting average this season with six doubles, one home run, and 12 RBIs.

Ayari VanBlaircom had a great freshman season where she was one of the top bats for the Lady Wolves including being second in batting average at .411, on-base percentage at .471, and slugging percentage at .789. She led the team in at-bats with 175 and triples with five while being second in doubles with 17, RBIs with 60, hits with 72, and runs scored with 67 while her 13 home runs were the third most for the Lady Wolves. She also posted a .935 fielding percentage with 85 putouts and two assists in 93 total chances in the outfield this season.

The Lady Wolves finish the season 50-7 overall while winning their third straight MACCC Championship and won the Region 23 Championship this season then finished fifth in the NJCAA DII National Tournament.
