Two Lady Wolves Earn All-Conference Honors

JACKSON – The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference announced the All-MACCC Selections for Women's Basketball for the 2022-23 season on Thursday, March 9. The Lady Wolves saw two of its members earn spots on the list as sophomore guard Zykeria Anderson (Edwards) earned First Team All-MACCC Honors while sophomore guard Tandria Minor (Brandon) earned Second Team.

Zykeria Anderson led the Lady Wolves in points per game this season at 17.5 and total points at 473 and both of those marks were second best among all players in the MACCC. Anderson also led the Lady Wolves in steals per game at 2.2 while also averaging 4.4 rebounds per game and 2.8 assists per game. Anderson's highest scoring game of the season came in the Lady Wolves 75-57 win over Northeast when she scored 31 points and throughout the season, she scored double digit points in 22 of 25 games played this season. Anderson also posted one double-double performance on the season in the Lady Wolves 61-51 win over East Central where she had 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Tandria Minor finished second on the Lady Wolves in points per game at 12.8 and total points at 319 with both of those marks placing her among the Top-12 performers in each category in the MACCC. Minor also averaged 3.8 rebounds per game and led the team in assists per game at 3.8 while also averaging 1.4 steals per game. Minor played 23 games for the Lady Wolves this season with her highest scoring performance coming in the Lady Wolves 77-58 win over Coastal Alabama – North.

The Lady Wolves finished the season with a 16-10 overall record and made it to the First Round of the Region 23 Women's Basketball Tournament.
