Lady Wolves Drop Overtime Match Against Lady Rangers

WESSON - The Co-Lin Women's Soccer team played host to Northwest Mississippi Community College on Friday, October 1. The Lady Rangers won the match against the Lady Wolves by a final of 2-1 in overtime.
The Lady Rangers got on the board first early in the first half with a goal in the 26th minute and carried the 1-0 lead through halftime.
The Lady Wolves tied the contest as freshman forward Alana Dear (Madison) found the back of the net with an assist from sophomore forward Taylor Ford (Florence) in the 75th minute. Neither team could find a winning goal through the remainder of regulation sending the game into overtime where the Lady Rangers scored the game winner in the 92nd minute securing the 2-1 victory.
Sophomore goalkeeper Alexandra Moon (Poynton with Worth, England) made eight saves on ten shots on goal throughout the match.
The Lady Wolves are now 2-7-0 overall and will return to action with a road contest against East Central on Tuesday, October 5. The action on the pitch will kickoff at 1:30 p.m.
