POPLARVILLE- The Co-Lin Women's Soccer team played their final road game of the season in a match against Pearl River on Friday, October 22. The Lady Wildcats beat the Lady Wolves by a final of 3-0.
Neither team scored in the first half of the contest despite a combined ten shots on goal from the opposing squads.
The Lady Wildcats broke the scoreless draw with a goal in the 53rd minute and then added a pair of goals in back-to-back minutes while stalling the Wolves attack throughout the second half to secure the 3-0 victory.
Sophomore goalkeeper Alexandra Moon (Poynton with Worth, England) saved ten of 13 shots on goal throughout the match.
The Lady Wolves are 3-11-1 overall and 2-7 in South Division play and will wrap up the 2021 season with a home game against Jones College on Tuesday, October 26. The action on the pitch at H.L. Stone Stadium will kickoff at 5 p.m.
