Lady Wolves Trio Selected for All-Star Game
WESSON – A trio of sophomores from the Co-Lin Women's Soccer team have been selected as members of the South Division team for the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference All-Star Soccer game.
Goalkeeper Alexandra Moon (Poynton with Worth, England), midfielder Anacia Leyland (St. Helens, England), and forward Taylor Ford (Florence) are the three Lady Wolves selected for the South Division roster.
Alex Moon started in all 16 games this season for the Lady Wolves making 165 total saves (third best in NJCAA Division 2 Women's Soccer). Alex allowed 38 goals against this season and had a goals-against average of 2.46 with a save percentage of 81.3 across 1,387 minutes of play.
Anacia Leyland started the first six games for the Lady Wolves where she accounted for three overall points on one goal and one assist. An injury in the sixth game of the season forced Leyland to miss the remainder of the season.
Taylor Ford also started in all 16 games for the Lady Wolves and accounted for 16 overall points with seven goals and two assists throughout the season including a two-goal game in the season opener against Northwest Mississippi.
Moon, Leyland, and Ford will be in action at the MACCC Soccer All-Star game at the Ridgeland campus of Holmes Community College on Saturday, November 13 at Noon.
