FULTON - The Co-Lin Women's Soccer team continued MACCC play with a road match against Itawamba on Friday, September 26. The Lady Wolves and Lady Indians played to a tie in the match, 1-1.
The Lady Wolves got on the board first as Campbell Miller (Madison) beat the keeper in the eighth minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Lady Wolves then played strong defense and gave up limited scoring chances to the Lady Indians as they held that lead throughout the remainder of play in the first half.
The Lady Indians then got the equalizer in the 62nd minute on a penalty kick. Both teams then turned up the offensive pressure but neither could find another goal as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Co-Lin is now 3-2-2 overall, 1-1-2 in MACCC play and will return to action hosting Meridian on Friday, October 3. Kickoff between the Lady Wolves and the Lady Eagles is set for 1 p.m., at Stone Stadium in Wesson.
