PERKINSTON – The Co-Lin Women's Soccer team continued MACCC play by hitting the road to face off against Gulf Coast on Tuesday, October 14. The Bulldogs beat the Lady Wolves, 3-0.
The Bulldogs netted a pair of goals in the first half as they scored their first goal in the 22nd minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Lady Wolves tried to find an equalizer, but the Bulldogs increased their lead with a goal in the 41st minute to increase their lead to 2-0 which stood at halftime.
The Lady Wolves continued to battle in the second half, but the Bulldogs added their final goal in the 51st minute to increase their lead to 3-0. The Bulldogs defense then stalled out the Lady Wolves forward momentum and allowed few scoring opportunities as they held on for the 3-0 win.
Sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Conway (Huddersfield, England) saved 11 of 14 shots on goal faced throughout the match.
Co-Lin is now 5-4-2 overall, 3-3-2 in MACCC play, and will return to action hosting Holmes on Tuesday, October 21. The action between the Lady Wolves and the No. 4 Lady Bulldogs kicks off at 5:30 p.m., at Stone Stadium in Wesson.
