That score stood until the Wolves added a solo run in the bottom of the fifth as Donovan Moore (Roxie) crushed a 3-1 pitch over the fence in left field for a solo home run, cutting the lead down to 7-1.

The Wolves then cut into the lead with four runs in the bottom of the eighth as Moore and Caleb Brooks (Brandon) were hit-by-pitch while Evan Holifield (Stringer) singled to load the bases with no outs. However, an infield fly followed by a flyout ended the potential scoring threat and sealed the win for the Eagles.

The Wolves then scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth as Combs drew a leadoff walk while Grissom reached base safely due to catcher's interference to put two runners on with no outs.
