Hinds defeats Co-Lin 76-61

A strong second half propels the Hinds Community College Bulldogs over the Co-Lin Wolves 76-61. 

The teams were tied at 32-all at the half. Hinds came out like a freight train in the second half outscoring the Wolves 44 to 29. 

"We were not ready to compete on the road and it showed all night," said Co-Lin head coach Kenny Bizot. "We did not share the basketball which led to bad shots and good offense for Hinds."

Co-Lin had no players in double figures. AJ Wansley had nine points and 10 rebounds for the Wolves. JD Allen and Jemario Hersey followed with nine and eight points, respectively. 

Leading the way for Hinds was Jordan Johnson with 18 points, nine assists, five rebounds and three steals. Marty Burrell,16 points and five rebounds, while Justyn King and Jalen Bates chipped in 10 points.

The Wolves (1-2) entertain Mississippi Gulf Coast on Monday, Feb. 1. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m.
