Wolf Pack Trio Selected for All-Star Game

WESSON – A trio of sophomores from the Co-Lin Men's Soccer team have been selected as members of the South Division team for the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference All-Star Soccer game.

Goalkeeper Ben Parkinson (Bury, England) midfielder Matt Preston (Manchester, England) and midfielder/defender Joel Ibanez (Isle of Man, England) are the three Wolves that have been selected to participate.

Ben Parkinson started in 14 games for the Wolves this season and made 81 saves while allowing 23 goals. Parkinson finished with a goals-against average of 1.66 and a save percentage of 77.9 while also having two shutouts on the year. Ben was also the MACCC and NJCAA Men's Soccer Goalie of the Week during the week of October 19.

Matt Preston played in all 15 games for the Wolves starting in ten. Preston accounted for five total points with two goals and one assist including one game-winning goal.

Joel Ibanez started all 15 games for the Wolves this season in midfielder or defender positions. Ibanez accounted for seven overall points with three goals and one assist including converting two penalty kick attempts and one game-winning goal.

Parkinson, Preston, and Ibanez will be in action at the MACCC Soccer All-Star game at the Ridgeland campus of Holmes Community College on Saturday, November 13 at 2:30 p.m.
