Wolves Fall to Bobcats in Final Road Match

ELLISVILLE – The Co-Lin Men's Soccer team resumed MACCC play with the final regular season road match against Jones on Friday, October 24. The No. 10 Bobcats beat the Wolves, 3-1.

The Bobcats and Wolves were scoreless for the first 20 minutes of the match until the Bobcats found the back of the net in the 25th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Bobcats added a second goal, ten minutes later, to push the lead to 2-0 and then stalled out the Wolves offense for the remainder of the half to take that lead to the locker rooms at halftime.

The second half was nearly scoreless until the Bobcats added their third goal in the 87th minute while the Wolves scored their lone goal in the 89th minute as Braxton Williams (Flowood) with assists from Lucas Giacomini (Newcastle, England) and Yohan Bedoya (Bogota, Colombia) making the score, 3-1.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jaime Duran (Madison) saved ten of 13 shots on goal faced throughout the match.

Co-Lin is now 7-5-2 overall, 4-4-2 in MACCC play, and will wrap up the regular season hosting Northwest on Tuesday, October 28 while celebrating Sophomore Night. The action on the pitch between the Wolves and the Rangers kicks off at 8 p.m., at Stone Stadium in Wesson.
