Wolves Beat Rangers in Regular Season Finale

WESSON – The Co-Lin Men's Soccer team played host to Northwest Mississippi for their regular season finale on Tuesday, October 28. The Wolves beat the Rangers, 3-1, while celebrating Sophomore Night.

The Wolves scored all three of their goals in the first 20 minutes of the match starting in the fifth as Yohan Bedoya (Bogota, Colombia) beat the keeper making the score, 1-0. Bedoya then got an assist as Alvaro De La Torre (A Coruna, Spain) got around the keeper for a goal in the 14th minute to increase the lead to 2-0. The final goal came as De La Torre looked to cross the ball to a teammate in the box and instead had the ball go off a Rangers defender and into the net in the 19th minute increasing the lead to 3-0.

The Wolves defense then held the Rangers offense off for the remainder of the first half to hold the 3-0 lead at halftime. The Rangers lone goal came in the 62nd minute to cut the lead down to 3-1. However, the Rangers then got just one shot on goal for the final 28 minutes as the Wolves secured the 3-1 win.
