WESSON – The Co-Lin Women's Soccer team played host to Northwest Mississippi for the regular season finale on Tuesday, October 28. The No. 3 Lady Rangers beat the Lady Wolves, 4-0.
The Lady Rangers scored two goals in each of the halves as their first half goals came in the fifth and 35th minutes while the held the Lady Wolves scoreless in the half to take a 2-0 lead.
The Lady Wolves continued to show a valiant fight throughout the match and got several shots on goal in the second half but could not find the back of the net. However, the Lady Rangers added goals in the 70th and 72nd minutes to seal the 4-0 win.
In her final game in goal for the Lady Wolves, sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Conway (Huddersfield, England) saved ten of 14 shots on goal faced while playing 76 and a half minutes. Freshman keeper Katherine Romero (Bude) played the final 13 and a half minutes to close out the match.
Co-Lin finishes the season 5-7-2 overall, 3-6-2 in MACCC play.
