Wolves Drop Close Game Against Bevill State
JASPER, Ala. – The Co-Lin Men's Basketball team hit the road for the first team this season to face off against Bevill State on Friday, November 14. The Bears beat the Wolves in a hard-fought game, 68-63.
The first half saw the teams battle back and forth throughout play, but ultimately the Bears held a 35-33 lead over the Wolves at halftime. Despite a strong effort in the second half, the Wolves could not overcome the Bears as they were outscored, 33-30, as the Bears sealed the 68-63 win.
Tyrell Bowles (Springdale, MD) led the way with his second straight double-double with 21 points, leading all scorers, and 11 rebounds. Caleb Crozier (Yazoo City) narrowly missed a double-double with eight points and a game-leading 12 rebounds while Morris Hammond (Ridgeland) and Dyland Creggett (DeSoto, TX) added nine points each. Hammond also had two rebounds with one steal while Creggett added five rebounds, five assists, and one steal.
LeBron Deal (Monroe, LA) had six points, Koie Williams (Philadelphia) and Tristian Lucas (Pearl) had four points each, while Moustapha Salekh (Ngekoh, Senegal) had two points to round out the scoring for the Wolves.
Co-Lin is now 3-3 overall and will return to action with a neutral site game against Baton Rouge on Monday, November 17. Tip-off between the Bears and the Wolves is set for 3 p.m., at Southwest Mississippi Community College in Summit
